Tandy answers when the owner can’t
Tandy is a product of Plain Text Systems LLC. It is an assistant for small service businesses: it answers customer enquiries, captures the job, and tells the owner about it by text. There is no app to install and nothing to log into.
The problem
A one-person service business loses work it never hears about.
The owner is under a sink or on a mower, the phone rings, and the customer calls the next name on the list. The job is gone before anyone knew it existed. Answering faster is most of the game: the business that replies first usually wins the work, and the window is minutes, not hours.
What it does
Answers customers
A visitor asks about a job and gets a real answer: what the business does, roughly what it costs, and when it can happen.
Captures the job
When the customer gives a way to reach them, Tandy records the job and passes it on with what it learned.
Works by text
The owner gets the lead as a message and replies in the same thread. Prices, hours, and standing rules are set the same way, in plain words.
Who it is for
Owner-operated service businesses: landscapers, cleaners, and the trades. One person, or a small crew, doing the work themselves and handling their own enquiries between jobs.
Tandy is built for the case where the owner is the business, so there is no office and nobody else to pick up.
What it is not
It is not a voice bot, and it does not answer the phone pretending to be a person. It is not a CRM, a scheduling system, or a dashboard to check.
It is a text thread, which is the one interface every owner already uses.
Status
Tandy is in private pilot with a small number of businesses. To ask about it, get in touch.
