Fractional engineering
An engineer in your corner, every month
You have working software and real customers, but no reason to hire a full-time engineer yet. A retainer gives you a senior one for the hours you actually need, so you’re never the only person who understands how your own software works.
What a month looks like
Some months it’s a bug that surfaced with a new customer, a dependency that needs updating, and one small feature. Other months it’s quiet, and we use the time to shore up the things that will bite later: backups, monitoring, the parts nobody looks at until they fail. You get steady hands on the software, not a fire drill every time something changes.
What it costs
A flat monthly retainer sized to your software and how much it changes. Month to month, with no long contract to sign. We’ll suggest a level after we’ve seen what you have, and adjust it as your needs do. You always know the number.
Not a help desk
This is one senior engineer who knows your system, not a ticket queue you shout into. The value is continuity: the same person who fixed it last month is the one improving it this month, and remembers why things are the way they are.
Want to stop being the only one who understands it?
A Software Health Check is a good first step, and an easy way to see how we work before committing to a retainer.
